QuikVue Vet Case Share - post-operative entropion in a cat

02/02/26

We are glad to share a vet case study captured by QuikVue eye imaging adaptor from Dr. Allison Fuchs.

Pre-operative and post-operative entropion in a cat.

Entropion is a condition where the eyelids roll inwards, contacting the corneal surface and causing irritation, tearing, corneal inflammation, and even corneal ulcers. While this is more common in dogs for inherited reasons, it does affect cats too! We performed surgery on this kitty to make him comfortable and restore normal eyelid function and conformation, and look how good he looks right away! The sutures are absorbable, but I generally recommend that we remove them 2 weeks after surgery to reduce inflammation and so I can ensure they are healed and have a normal eyelid position.
