How EyeStream Fits Into a Slit-Lamp Imaging Workflow

08/28/26

Digital slit-lamp imaging works best when it fits the examination routine. EyeStream adds image and video capture to compatible traditional slit lamps. With VisuDoc, the capture can move from examination to documentation, patient discussion, and follow-up review.

Our workflow video shows the key steps.

1. Capture at the Slit Lamp

Compatible slit-lamp upgrade: EyeStream adds digital image and video capture to compatible traditional slit lamps.

Live preview and focus matching: View the image on screen and align it with the clinician's eyepiece view before capture.

Imaging modes: Use Diffuse, Slit, or Meibo imaging for the relevant examination view.

The clinician selects the appropriate view and interprets the image within the full examination.

2. Keep Documentation and Discussion Connected

After capture, VisuDoc keeps the preferred images connected to the examination record.

Image review: Review image quality before saving the preferred captures.

Comparison: View saved images side by side when comparison is appropriate.

Patient communication: Use stored images to support a clinician-led discussion of visible findings.

Report preparation: Select relevant images and notes for a patient report, printing, or PDF export.

EyeStream and VisuDoc support documentation and communication. They do not replace clinical judgment.
